Whats Included

The Lego Essentials Expansion Set is a set of Lego bricks and accessories that can be used to enhance the learning and building possibilities of the Lego Education Essentials Set. The expansion set includes:

  • 603 Lego bricks, including various System and Technic parts, gears, wheels, axles, and connectors.
  • 2 Large Motors, which can be used to power larger or more complex Lego models and make them move. They can be controlled by the Small Hub and the coding app.

  • A Tilt Sensor, which can detect the orientation and movement of the Lego models. It can be used to create interactive models and games with the Small Hub and the coding app.
  • A Motion Sensor, which can detect the distance and presence of objects in front of the Lego models. It can be used to create interactive models and games with the Small Hub and the coding app.
  • A durable storage box with color-coded sorting trays for easy classroom management.
  • The expansion set also comes with a free app that features icon- and word-based block coding based on Scratch.

  • The app helps students develop their coding skills and create programs for their models. The expansion set also offers three units of eight STEAM lessons, each with online lesson plans, math and language arts extensions, assessment rubrics, and videos. The lessons are aligned with educational standards and encourage independent and collaborative problem-solving
