The BBC micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that you can code, customise and control to bring your digital ideas, games and apps to life. Each element is completely programmable via easy-to-use software on a dedicated website (www.microbit.co.uk) that can be accessed from a PC, tablet, or mobile.

There are two programmable buttons that can be used to control games or pause and skip songs on a playlist. The BBC micro:bit can even detect motion and tell you which direction you are heading in. Build-in Low Energy Bluetooth connectivity enables the BBC micro:bit to interact with other devices and the internet.

>  A 5×5 LED matrix with 25 red LEDs to light up and can display animated patterns, scrolling text and alphanumeric characters.
